Ready to set your claim? For this example, let’s pretend this cube is your build:
You need a claiming tool, use /kit claim to spawn a golden shovel, any golden shovel will do!
Keep your claim tool in-hand while claiming, cycling through your hotbar will cancel the process.
Start setting your claim by right-clicking with the claim tool on two opposing blocks:
Your claim is now set! It exist at the level of the clicked-on blocks and upwards, congratulations!
If your build extends into the ground, the previous claim example will not cover the area beneath:
To protect the ground beneath your build, set claim points at a lower level:
<aside> 🚧 Pro Tip: regardless of how you set your claim—either in a flat range or in the style of a cube—it will only count the X/Z axis range of blocks between the two points. So you never have to feel like you’re wasting any claim blocks!

The entirety of your build, from top to bottom, is now protected!
Considering the claim only protects the claim point and above, you could max out your claim by setting the starting point all the way down to bedrock level (Y -64).
